I use your magnets to attach a light to the port side, the starboard side and the stern of my houseboat. This allows me to simply place the lights on the painted steel hull without welding or drilling.
The magnets used are CSN-48 pot magnets with a countersunk hole and an adhesive force of over 80 kg. I screwed them onto the underside of the lights.
These lights are only used when I take my houseboat to the shipyard every few years for maintenance; when not in use, they are stored inside the boat. Nevertheless, I did treat the magnets with anti-rust paint to make them more durable.
